The table takes its name from the Norwegian archipelago Svalbard. The beautiful inlaid piece of cast glass has an organic texture resembling the icy clusters of its artic islands. Surrounded by a sea of white Corian the table sits with a sleek and minimal aesthetic. The finishing touch to this artic inspired piece is the addition of some clever L.E.D. backlighting which gives the glass its own aurora borealis. The colours slowly cycle resembling the natural northern light show or can be paused on one specific colour depending on mood or interior.
Svalbard is individually made to order here in England with DuPont's Corian® and sanded to a semi gloss finish. The table is inlayed with cast glass which is backlit with diffused L.E.Ds. It has two push to open drawers on one side and a matching access panel on the other. This is to access the lighting if needed, or to set the speed for the light cycles when not paused. Next to the drawer is a flush Corian button to turn on the table and one to pause or start the colour cycle. There is one power point at each side of the table to improve flexibility with positioning. The unit is equipped with a standard British plug but all electrics can be adapted to suit any country. Each edition is marked with our logo and numbered.
