Inspired by Stuartís time spent snowboarding in Verbier, Switzerland the Mont Fort Sideboard and the Tortin Table take their names from famous runs at the resort. The varying angles and moguls on the mountain are abstracted to create the forms of these pieces. They are then carved through by the graphic representing the lines taken by the snowboarders and skiers. At parts the graphic appears to leave the furniture resembling the air time had by the riders as they jump and return to the slopes.
The sideboard is made from 2 different colours of Corian seamlessly bonded to form this Avant-garde piece. Individually made to order here in England with DuPont's Corian® and sanded to a semigloss finish. The internals are made from matching high pressure laminates and the cupboard shelves are height adjustable. All drawers and doors are push-open mechanisms. As standard the side board comes with openings in the back to allow for electrical cables but these can be omitted on request (please see images to view openings). Released as editions in specific colour combinations they are marked with our logo and numbered. Please contact us if you would like to use any other combination of DuPont's Colours or would like to discuss other size and form possibilities for a bespoke piece.
